Malcolm Gladwell says he has ‘shame’ to be ‘painted’ to support transh athletes in women’s sports

Author Malcolm Gladwell admitted he was “ashamed” by his performance waiting for a prominent sports conference discussing the “path to involvement” of trans athletes in women’s sports – claiming he was “painted by public pressure.

In a podcast released on Tuesday, Gladwell, 62, mourned a 2022 Mit Sloan Sports Analytical Conference during which the author “Outliers” said he was “objective in a dishonest way”.

“I am ashamed of my performance on that panel because I divide your 100 percent position and I got tired,” Gladwell told “The Real Science of Sport” Hosti Ross Tucker, who appeared on the panel and argued against trans involvement.

Tucker noted that while most of his statements were silent, pro-Trans-Trans panelists Dr. Joanna Harper and ESPN writer Katie Barnes received applause for their arguments.

“My suspicion is that 90 percent of people in the audience were on your side, but 5 percent of the audience were ready to accept it,” Gladwell confessed.

Gladwell himself did not accept it at the time.

“[T]He Trans athlete on the panel, at one point they turn to you, Ross, and they said, ‘Ross, you have to let us win’. And it was at the moment I understood this position, this argument went to the farthest extreme. “

“They are not looking for a place on the table, they are not looking to be treated with respect and dignity. What they are looking for is that no one will question their considerable physiological advantage they bring to sports,” Gladwell said.

“I heard this and thought,” this is nuts, “and yet I didn’t say anything.”

At that time, Gladwell described an extremely different perspective.

Speaking about UPENN LIA THOMAS, the author said, “She is an elite swimmer, she is breaking a lot of records now” – and then asked if she could qualify for the Olympic team.

He also characterized her participation in women’s sports as a “difficult occasion” and suggested that it was being discussed only by Fox News.

In Podcast released on Tuesday, Gladwell and Ross both were pleaded with that if the Sloan Conference Panel were to be held today, his view would return completely.

The writing “Point of Tipping” explained simply by saying that “cultural winds have been shifted” beyond sports.

“Even lawyers have to move their feet and make another claim.”
